Hi im Bryony, im 17 im currently living in the ymca i have been for a year. Before i lived at the YMCA i spent most of my life moving in and out of hostels B&Bs, and between family members and moved out alone at the age of 16.Through the ymca i found out about an organsiation called EVS which gives you the chance to go abroad and work so i went to turkey for a month in feb 08 to work in a school with young people with disabilites and went to south america for 3weeks in jun08 to work in youth centres which was amazing!!!! I got a new job a week ago to be a young persons development worker for harrogate and district. In other words i give young people the chance to have their voices heard but there is alot more to it.
