In preparation for exploring collective and individual experience of the issue, the first task was for each person to create an individual narrative timeline. The timeline could include as much or as little information as people wished and could be presented in anyway they felt most comfortable with. The purpose of the timeline was to express the events, circumstances, decisions, problems, opportunities and states of mind, body and spirit that defined their experience being homeless. With this information we could best understand each person's individual experience in order to carry some of the substance into the film direction.

"I know how to prepare a professional brief for a graphic designer"
The red marks show how they felt, as a group, at the beginning of the session and the green marks show how they felt at the end.
Having prepared the feedback for Gareth at Snowglobe, the group turned their attention to production week and the filming element.
For this part of the project the group will be working with award winning film maker and co-founder of Inspired Youth, Kevin Curran.
The first job is to begin looking at interview scenarios. Asking the right questions to the right people! The group looked at the list of suggested interviewees and added their own ideas. They then decided on what questions to ask in order that the answers gave the right material for the film.

There have been significant policy developments across the UK to address youth homelessness in recent years, most particularly the extension of priority need groups and a new emphasis on the prevention of homelessness. This study, the first UK-wide review of youth homelessness for a decade, explores whether these changes have been effective in tackling youth homelessness.
